Hiking in the foothills of the Alps: Herzogstand

Let's enjoy Bavaria's beautiful outdoors! 

Herzogstand is one of Munich's Hausberge (translated “house mountain”) and is the ideal starting point for experiencing the Bavarian foothills of the Alps. Hiking up takes approximately four hours and we'll ascend almost 1000 meters.
The peak offers a magnificient 360° panoramic view towards the Alps, Kochelsee and Walchensee, the deepest alpine lake in Germany.
As this is a hike and not a simple walk it is important that you're in good condition.
Additionally, you should dress according to the weather (e.g. water/windproof jacket) and wear appropriate shoes (hiking boots at best). Also don’t forget to take enough water and a snack!
