Daytrip to Innsbruck
Innsbruck is the capital city of Tyrol (Austria), a region that is a well-known holiday destination, mainly due to the beautiful alpine landscape in the heart of the eastern Alps. Locked within the mountains, most visibly the Nordkette ("Northern chain"), rising up to 2637 m right in front of Innsbruck's doorsteps, it is one of the few Inneralp Cities in Europe. We will get to know the city through a guided tour. Afterwards you will have time to explore the beautiful city on your own and try some Austrian Strudel and have a look into the Tyrol-based Swarovski Kristallwelten store. If the weather is good you can visit the Alpenzoo located 200 m above the city, you can also walk a bit further from Hungerburg (860 m) towards Arzler Alm (1067 m) and enjoy a drink and the view over Innsbruck.
