The Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern's services are having a break around Christmas. Here is an overview listing the changed opening hours:
University Gastronomy
Most gastronomic services will be closed from Wednesday, 24th December 2025. The following canteens and cafeterias will be closed earlier already:
- StuLounge Martinsried: 22nd December 2025
- Canteen and StuCafé Lothstraße: 22nd December 2025
- Canteen and StuCafé Pasing: 22nd December 2025
- StuBistroMensa Karlstraße: 22nd December 2025
- StuBistroMensa Akademiestraße: 22nd December 2025
- StuBistroMensa Benediktbeuern: 19th December 2025
All canteens and cafeterias will be closed until and including Tuesday, 6th January 2026. We are looking forward to welcoming you back on 7th January 2026!

Amt für Ausbildungsförderung – BAföG
Our BAföG office will not be available by phone from Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, until and including Thursday, 8th January 2026.
The General BAföG Advisory Service Munich, however, will be available by phone on 23rd December 2025 as well as on 7th January and 9th January 2026.
Accommodation
Our halls' administrative offices as well as our Rent Accounts Department will be closed from Wednesday, 24th December 2025, until and including Tuesday, 6th January 2026. From Wednesday, 7th January 2026, our staff will be there for you again as usual.
Advice and Counselling Network
Also our advisory services will be closed between Christmas and New Year. Please have a look at the individual advisory services' pages for further details.
Servicepaket
Our Servicepaket staff will not be available from Monday, 22nd December 2025, until and including Tuesday, 6th January 2026.
Cultural Programme
Our Cultural Programme's staff will not be available from Monday, 22nd December 2025, until and including Thursday, 8th January 2026.
Tutor Programme
Our Tutor Programme's staff will not be available from Monday, 22nd December 2025, until and including Wednesday, 7th January 2026.
Corporate Communication and Press Enquiries
The press office of the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern will not be available from Tuesday, 23rd December 2025, until and including Tuesday, 6th January 2026.
