Students whose BAföG will run out this semester but who will be continuing their studies ought to apply in good time for having their BAföG prolonged. For only if we receive your complete application by 31st January 2026, can you be sure to go on receiving your BAföG without any interruption. Should the application be made after the deadline, for instance only in March, your BAföG payments might be interrupted.
BAföG recipients’ certificate of matriculation for next semester can be handed in at a later stage. The forms and documents of the parents, on the other hand, are required in time.
