Hike to Andechs Monastery
Andechs Monastery is situated between Lake Starnberg and Lake Ammersee. It is not only a well-known place of pilgrimage, where Benedictine monks devote their time to prayer and work, but it is also a popular destination for day trips.
We will walk together from Herrsching am Ammersee up to Andechs, which takes roughly one to two hours. The gently ascending path leads us through beautiful woodland and a scenic valley.
At the monastery, you will have time to explore the grounds and enjoy some food or a drink at one of the beer gardens. Afterwards, we can take the bus back down to Herrsching.
Although the walk is not particularly difficult, you should be sure-footed and wear sturdy shoes.
