cultureclubbing goes Kammerspiele and TAM TAM Treppenbar

Shortly before Christmas, the Münchner Kammerspiele and the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern will be inviting students to spend a cultureclubbing evening at the theatre. With reduced tickets exclusively for students only for this eventing!
 
Prepare to be surprised by the play “Katzelmacher” by Rainer Werner Fassbinder with an epilogue by Emre Akal (director: Emre Akal). 
 
"They are stuck in the provinces and want to leave. They can’t live with or without each other.
 
They eye each other and tear each other apart. Their boredom, envy and money worries feed their prejudices. Until their aggression is unleashed on Jorgos, who came to Bavaria from Greece as a guest worker. In “Katzelmacher”, Fassbinder portrayed the social and cultural struggles of a suburban neighborhood in Bavaria at the end of the 1960s."
 
Extremely serious content is wrapped up in bittersweet packaging. At the start we see oversized cats licking up milk and ruffling their fur. The kitchen fittings seem to be very soft and everything is somehow fluffy. With a great costume and set design ("Kostümbild des Jahres" awarded to Lara Roßwang and second place in "Video des Jahres" in the same production for Mehmet&Kazim), the play demonstrates what theatre is capable of – with lots to discover and marvel at!
