The General Advice and Social Counselling Service will be closed on October 7th and 9th, 2025.
What we offer:
- help with questions and problems concerning your studies
- support with difficulties in your everyday student life
- advice on financing your studies
- information about available support in the case of financial difficulties
- tips for part-time jobs during your studies
- information if you have questions about “Kindergeld” (child benefit) or child support
- information on social legislation with regard to your studies (e.g. health insurance)
- basic information and orientation for future students
- help and advice in the case of personal conflicts (e.g. with your family, partner or room-mates)
- advice if you're having doubts about your studies or are considering to drop out
- answers to questions regarding the end of your studies and entering professional life
- support for students faced with challenges in life (e.g. chronic illnesses or disabilities)
- overview of other advisory and support services available to students
- online talks
