Digital Detox – open lecture for students on dealing with constant availability
Self-Management in the Digital World
Being digital means being constantly available, well-connected, and always up to date. This opens up many opportunities—but it can also be quite stressful. Push notifications, social media, multitasking, and the pressure to respond immediately drain your attention and energy.
This presentation focuses on how to use digital media in a way that benefits you—rather than overwhelming you. You’ll learn to recognize digital stressors, see through manipulative tactics, and become more mindful of how you use your smartphone, messaging apps, and other digital tools.
Goals and Content:
►Self-management in the digital world ►The trap of multitasking ►Instant communication culture (constant interaction) ►Resisting manipulative mechanisms (persuasive technologies) ►Using digital media constructively ►Disconnect to reconnect—strategies for digital balance
