Our University Gastronomy will be serving especially light dishes for one whole month.

Let’s eat more consciously now that “Fasching” is over – that’s our University Gastronomy’s motto this year in March. A large variety of detox and fish dishes will be on the menu throughout the entire month.

Immediately after Fasching or Shrove Tuesday is when the Lenten season begins, during which many people do without certain things. The tradition has its roots in Christianity and is regarded in particular as a period of contemplation coming up to Easter. Nowadays, it’s less strict than it used to be. Nonetheless, there are lots of people who, during these weeks, eat healthier and more consciously and go without certain food.

Detox stands for detoxification. Detox dishes are meant to cleanse our body, contribute to losing weight or improve our general well-being.

In order to help our students to make their personal diet a little lighter, the Studierendenwerk München Oberbayern’ canteens will focus in particular on detoxifying meals and a variety of fish recipes throughout the entire month.

We hope you enjoy your meals!
