After the catastrophic earthquake in Turkey and Syria, many thousands of people have died, have suffered injuries and/or have lost their homes – the full extent of death and destruction is unbelievable.
Our thoughts are with the victims of this devastating tragedy and with their families. Many of our students and staff have family in the affected area. And so it’s important to us to show solidarity and provide support and assistance.
Anyone who wants to help, can do so, for example, via Germany’s Relief Coalition “Aktion Deutschland Hilft”.
Students who require support themselves due to the earthquake can turn to the Advice and Counselling Network provided by the Studierendenwerk. Our Advice and Counselling Network can provide information if you are in financial difficulties, but also if you require psychological support. The services are free of charge for students. In the case of an emergency, we also recommend the regional crisis services.
