Hike: Höllental Gorge & Höllentalangerhütte

The Höllentalklamm is one of the most spectacular sights in the German Alps. The over 150m high rock faces, the roaring water and the unique view of the surrounding mountains make this tour one of the most beautiful hikes in the area surrounding the Zugspitze (the highest mountain in Germany).

Starting in Hammersbach, we will follow the path along the "Hammersbach"-River, leading us to the entrance of the gorge. We'll follow the path through the gorge through numerous tunnels, over bridges and steps, passing waterfalls and huge rock boulders directly on the waterside.
You should better not have any fear of heights on this tour!

Even on hot summer days, there are always chilly temperatures in the gorge and water drips down from above. So you´ll need warm clothes and rain protection for the trip. Also, the paths are mostly slippery - therefore hiking boots are mandatory!
Please be aware that this tour is a hike of medium difficulty and therefore not suitable for beginners! In total, we´ll walk for about 5 hours and 750m altitude up and down. So, a good physical condition and proper clothing are mandatory for joining us on the trip!
